SOME FASHION INDUSTRY KEYS FIGURES
In the world, each year, human produce 80 billion of clothes.
70 million barrels of gasoline per year to produce polyester .
The consumption of clothes represents 15 tonnes of CO2 per year = 600 cars
These children go to the school on day and still work on the night and the week end.
Each year 120 million trees are cut down to make fabrics like rayon and viscose.
10% of global consumption herbicides used in coton production.
25% of insecticides used in coton production.
In current fashion industry we use: - 2500 Liters of water to make 1 Tee shirt. - 8100 Liters of water to make 1 pairs of jeans.
In China 70% small courtyard are dry, the pollution have no more potable water to live.
WE DECIDED TO ACT
Committed and sensitive to environmental issues from early on, I always felt strongly connected to nature, and therefore felt the need to find a meaning to my own existence on this Earth.
My eco-responsible project is my mission in life, and it should be sincere: no compromise.
The eco-responsible ready-to-wear collection NEOGREEN was born out of my 3 passions: nature, stitching, and humanity.
Indeed, in a world where everything is based on profit in disregard of everything else, we owe it to ourselves to propose, each in our own field, products and ideas that are fairer and more respectful of humans and nature.
We cannot let ourselves be reduced to blind, mindless consumers by the media, which are guided and influenced by large industrial groups.
CLOTHES FOR CONSCIOUS PEOPLE
ARTISTIC vision of the future
Being a fan of science fiction, I have always imagined a more spiritual future for our world, a future in which human would be in perfect harmony with nature, a different world with innovative technologies and new energies that would be more respectful of the environment.
A pure world in which human beings would reconnect with themselves, develop their intuitions, and focus only on their own spiritual awakening.
It is this vision of the future that inspires and feeds NEOGREEN, clothing for conscious people.
The impact that the success of this project would have on the world of today.
ECOLOGIC ABSOLUT NECESSITY
The implementation of this project on a bigger scale would have a hugely positive impact.
It could mean the end of pollution linked to mass production of the textile industry such as: water pollution due to toxic chemicals, which causes the destruction of ecosystems and droughts in certain countries, as well as skin, respiratory and neurological diseases linked to the usage of these toxic chemicals (lead, mercury, toxic detergents…), human casualties, overexploitation of the soil in order to grow cotton which drains the soil of its nutrients…
The project aims at diminishing textile waste, which clutters our planet, by finding value in used fabric: this would reduce CO2 emissions linked to the incineration of this waste.
SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT
On a human level, working with people from professional integration programs who are socially and financially challenged, means for them to regain confidence in their skills. To promote them, and give them hope again, that is what real success is to me!
Finally, the success of this project would prove the viability of alternative systems, on a human and economical basis.
Be aware that it is up to you to decide who you wish to support, it is up to you to chose to help those who are building a better future, and it is also up to you to chose to participate in this change!
